Christian was born on 20th February 1981 in Sydney, Australia, but moved as a young child to Queensland where he spent his formative years.

Always interested in bikes he raced on Dirt Track on the Gold Coast, raced Harley Davison's around all of Australia, before getting into Speedway.

He made his UK debut in 2000 with the Edinburgh Monarchs, staying with them for several seasons before moving west to join the Glasgow Tigers. He Joined the Newcastle Diamonds in 2005, becoming an asset in the Winter of 2006. A naturally quiet chap, he was delighted to be voted the 'Most Improved Diamond’ in 2006. In 2007 he became the Team Captain, and has retained that distinction for the 2008 season. With his lowest average of just 3.00, he now boasts an 8.50 average with more yet to come!

Last season he brought silverware to Newcastle, coming third in the Premier League Pairs with team mate Pepe Franc.

In the closed season he has secured a squad place with the Swedish team Valsarna, and believes this will improve his performances particularly on the British away tracks. RIding in a different country having never even seen the tracks will be a big challenge which Christian knows he can rise to. Both home and abroad Christian is the man to watch. It may well be his best season yet...
